Long Term Happiness

Long Term Happiness

Happiness is somewhere lost in these mental lockdown and shutdown situations. The situation may change but we must get refreshed by rebuilding our lost confidence. All these need a restart and bounce back on our long term dreams for our long term happiness. These following points are collected from various places and these tell us that we must be careful on a few popular parameters for our long term happiness.
  1. A person who neither rejoices on receiving something pleasant nor laments on receiving something unpleasant, such a stable minded person is always happy and peaceful. (BG 5.20)
  2. One who can tolerate the urges and forces of material desires and anger can lead a happy life in this material world. (BG 5.23)
  3. Search happiness within yourself, not outside. Do regular meditation for 15 minutes and practise silence, solitude and stillness.
  4. You are that much happy, how much you want to be and you are that much sad, how much you want to be. You have the power to hurt yourself or benefit yourself. When you choose to be happy, no one can make you unhappy.
  5. Once you start working on something, you shouldn’t be afraid of failure. People who work sincerely are the happiest. The greatest prison people live in, is the fear of what other people think. Have a don’t care attitude. When you truly don’t care what everybody thinks about you, you have reached a dangerously awesome level of freedom.
  6. Happiness does not depend on what you have or who you are. It solely relies on what and how you think. Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions. Happiness also flows when you shut your mouth, eyes and ears to negativity.
  7. Never regret a single day in your life, all days are not made equal. Never waste any time feeling sorry for yourself, It will never solve the problem. Never waste your precious time discussing other people and events, you’ll only be subjecting yourself to further internal injury.
  8. There is always something to be thankful for. Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more.
  9. There is joy in life, it is benediction(The act of praying for divine protection). Prayer puts faith in your heart. Faith moves the mountain.
  10. Give gifts to others. True happiness lies in giving more but sometimes we misinterpret it in receiving. Instead of speaking a lot, gently catch the opportunities to listen from others. The greatest gift you can give someone is your time. Because when you give your time, you are giving a portion of your life that you will never get back.
  11. Develop the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Consider other’s point of view with an understanding that everyone is right in their own perspective. Thousands of candles can be lightened from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
  12. Help people not by money but by sharing knowledge so that they can be self-reliant instead of being dependent on someone. But help yourself before helping others. Make yourself successful enough so that you can help others.
  13. The interest to learn also brings happiness. The joy, bliss and happiness must come from our number of attempts to learn new things. Celebrating and sharing that understanding or clarity gives happiness.
  14. Your smallest achievement by completing the chunks of your dream goals create happiness. So dream big and divide your dream goals into chunks then completing them in time will give happiness. Long term happiness may not come from achieving a single goal; it comes from the act of making continuous progress.. Happiness is a function of growth and development. Life becomes more meaningful when you realize the simple fact that you’ll never get the same opportunity twice.
  15. Keep smiling. It is necessary to smile at problems to bring a lot of happiness. Make fake happiness though you are not happy and this will also bring out your real happiness. There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way. Enjoy the little moments because once they are over, they won’t come back.
  16. Do the following when you feel unhappy, maybe all you need is to feel the amazing environment surrounding us.
    • a dose of fresh air.
    • time with the beautiful light of sunrise and sunset.
    • time with the environment filled with colourful animals and green plants.
  17. The truth is that you learn more about yourself every time someone says something to hurt you. Life is an adventure to re-discover ourselves every passing day.
  18. When the pain gets deeper, hold on to God tighter. If God puts a Goliath in front of you, He must believe there’s a David inside of you.
  19. When people say something to hurt you, stay calm and do nothing. What’s eating them will soon consume them and you will be free. Train your mind to stay calm in every situation regardless of how harsh.
  20. When people keep attacking you from the outside keep attacking them from the inside. Whoever is trying hard to bring you down is beneath you. Don’t treat people as bad as they are. Treat them as good as you are.
  21. Everything will be fine; maybe not now. But you have everything you could ever need to overcome every problem that’s worrying you.
  22. Always be happy without any reason. You don’t have to struggle to become happy. Learn from a little child. Just pretend you know nothing.
  23. It’s okay to be unhappy. This is the only way to appreciate happiness. If you’re going through hell don’t stop before you emerge from the other side.
  24. Whatever things are making you miserable write them down one by one; on a piece of paper. Then burn the piece of paper and watch as your troubles go up in flames.
  25. Stop beating yourself up with worry. It’s not your fault and there’s nothing you can do about it. Love yourself first and love at the level of the soul without any attachment and expectation.
  26. When you depend on other people to make you happy, you are living at someone else’s expense and when happiness doesn’t seem to come your way, find out if there’s someone you made unhappily.
  27. The most difficult task is to make everybody happy, the simplest task is to be happy with everyone. The purpose is the same, spread happiness

Uddhav’s Bitter Questions to Krishna

Source: Pexels Uddhav was in the service of Shri Krishna as a charioteer since childhood, but he neither expressed any desire nor asked anything from Shri Krishna. When Krishna completed his avatar era and was ready to go to Gaulok, he called Uddhav to himself and said: Dear Uddhav, many people have received something from me in this 'Avatar period', but you never asked for anything! Now ask for something, I want to give something to you   Uddhav did not ask for anything even after this. He only wanted to clear his doubts which were arising in his mind by seeing Krishna's teachings and his gratitude. This way it became a session which not only cleared the doubt’s of Uddhav but also it’s very helpful to clear all common doubts in our mind.   Uddhav’s question:  I could not understand many things in the events of Mahabharata! Your 'teachings' remained different, while 'personal life' looked somewhat different! Will you explain the reason to pacify my knowledge

Education System of India

India produces more engineers than the total population of Switzerland. Still, Switzerland is number one in research and innovation. After independence, the Republic of India has produced zero noble laureates in science but within the same time period, the USA has produced noble laureates who are 100 plus in number. The new Annual Employability Survey 2019 report by Aspiring Minds reveals that 80% of Indian engineers are not fit for any job in the knowledge economy and only 2.5% of them possess tech skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) that industry requires. Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella and many other popular people have done their education outside India. To find the root cause and problems hidden in our education system, we have to go back to the time when India was ruled by Britishers. In that time East India Company had two major challenges to rule India. First was the need for communication with Indians in their British English language and second, was the need for workers in I
